Last night, I threw myself a little 36th 29th birthday party (yes, Snoopy Huhn, I’m still celebrating!). Linds, Sarah, Leah, Andrea, Kyle, Glenn, Julia, Nathan, and John all stopped by to eat some yummy food, share (and spill) a few drinks, and play some Mario Kart and Wii bowling. That’s all of us gathered around the couch (with John off to the side for good measure!) above.
Mario Kart brings out the best faces in people, as evidenced here by Leah and Kyle. Nathan, a Wii pro, remained calm in the face of banana peels and bullets (“Be the bullet!”):

There are more photos from the night here. Thanks to my lovelies for helping me celebrate. I wish my far-flung friends from Tennessee, South Dakota, Texas, Louisiana, and Virginia could have been there… but frankly, my apartment is way too small!
The title of this post comes from William Shakespeare:
With mirth and laughter let old wrinkles come.
Oh man!!! I missed Mario Kart??? And cookie cake??? So sad, but so glad you had a great time.
It wasn’t the same without you, DH!
